Portion
To have God as our portion is really an amazing thing. God first chose us as His sons and daughters, making us co-heirs with Christ as we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. As the source of our security and our portion, we can take each day knowing that our Heavenly Father is with us, providing for us, letting us enjoy this life and inspiring us to encourage others to do the same.
Home
They say that “home is where the heart is” but Jesus has a different view on home. He said that if we love Him and keep His word, He and The Father will make their home in us.
Wait
Waiting is not something that we are good at. Especially in today’s “I need it now” mentality, we are used to getting things fast. We’ve got fast-food, overnight delivery when we order on-line, fast passes at theme parks, and reservations at restaurants, so we don’t have to wait. But God wants us to be patient and wait on Him.
Simple
Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:30 that “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” The simplicity of salvation is easy. We must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus was died for us and was raised from the dead. Then we will be saved. Simple right?
What is Good?
Throughout the Bible, God gives clear direction for us on how we are to live and what is good. Micah 6:8 sums it up in one short verse. Let’s break it down…
The Key To Happiness
God has a plan for all of us. As we become DOERS of His word, He will reveal that plan and it will unfold before us. As we ask, follow and obey God’s path, we will find the key to true happiness.
My Cup Runneth Over
We are blessed! Our cups are full and overflowing. It is our responsibility to be generous with the things that God has given us. When we are generous, God rewards us with more of that entrusted to us.
Difficulties
God has no difficulties. There is nothing too difficult for Him. Where we fall short, God is able. When we say we can’t, God says I can. If we are living according to His will, than He is faithful to help us and send His Spirit to live in us to guide us to the pathways He has for us.
He Will Rejoice Over You With Singing
Just think, the God who created all things, this world, the universe, animals, fish, birds and people, rejoices over us with singing. Many people think that God is so distant and far and unapproachable, but the truth is, he is with us every day.
The Greatest of These Is Love
God seeks out people that are a “Man or Woman after His own heart.” He wants us to love others as He loves us. He has given us the example through Christ to follow after Him so that His love is spread throughout the ends of the earth. God is love and since we are followers of Christ, His love should be evident in our lives.
Heavy
Jesus tells us to come to Him when we are carrying heavy burdens and He will give us rest. That is impossible to do without first knowing The Son (Jesus). When we make the decision of faith to believe that Jesus died for our sins and accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we can give our heavy burdens to Him and he gives us rest for our souls.
Big
Just how big is our God? We really can’t clearly understand but the scriptures give us some insight into this subject.
