1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT
[13] Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.

As we study the Bible, we see the character of God weaved into it through and through, giving us insight into how God operates.
God seeks out people that are a “Man or Woman after His own heart.” He wants us to love others as He loves us. He has given us the example through Christ to follow after Him so that His love is spread throughout the ends of the earth. God is love and since we are followers of Christ, His love should be evident in our lives. We should try to see people in the way that God sees people. He loves all of His people and does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to have eternal life with Him.
1 Samuel 13:14a NKJV
[14] But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart…
1 John 4:8-11 NKJV
[8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. [9] In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. [10] In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. [11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
2 Peter 3:9 NKJV
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Genesis 1:26a NKJV tells us, “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” If that is the case, than as followers of Christ, we should love people as God loves people. We should let the fruit of the Holy Spirit be evident in every aspect of our lives. As we encounter other people, we need to remember that God is love. His character should be our character. His fruit should show up in our daily walk with Him, being a blessing whenever we can. As we let our lights shine, others will notice. They will desire to obtain the faith, hope and love that we have and carry forward as so many people in history have done before us. Thank God for the Godly men and women over thousands of years have loved as God has loved and given us His word to carry forward to future generations. Let us not take for granted the three things that will last forever – faith, hope and love, and share the fruit of the Spirit generously and be a blessing always to others.
Galatians 5:22-23 NLT
[22] But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
