Psalm 119:105 KJV
[105] Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Good Morning!

It is our human tendency to worry about our future. But God says in his Word that he will be a light unto our path and a lamp unto our feet. Notice he didn’t say he will be a flashlight or a spotlight unto our path. God wants us to trust him today – in the present. He gives us enough light to see the path just ahead so that we don’t veer from it, but not enough to see into tomorrow. We must trust and seek Him in this day with all of our heart and not worry about tomorrow.

For some people, their paths are short and God lovingly calls them home to be with Him where there is no more sorrow or pain or suffering. For others, He gives longer paths that enables them to keep fighting the good fight and spreading His light to others so that they too can experience His light in their path. God is love. He is the alpha and omega, beginning and the end. He knows what is best for us and we need to have simple faith to trust in Him. His ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts. We may not always understand why things happen the way they do, but He is able to make our paths straight if we simply just lean on his understanding and be still in His presence.

Revelation 21:4 NKJV
[4] And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Isaiah 42:16 NKJV
[16] I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.

Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV
[8] “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. [9] “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

1 John 4:8 NKJV
[8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Revelation 1:8 NKJV
[8] “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

For those in the world still trying to find their way and have not yet found their path, God made it easy for us. He gives us the opportunity in this life to walk into the light and put all of our faith in Him by accepting His son, Jesus, as our Lord and Savior. By confessing Jesus as our Lord, Jesus will profess us before His Father when it comes time to stand before God in judgement. In a simple act of accepting the sacrifice that Jesus made for us in order that humanity has a way to eternal glory in heaven, He will fill the void that is missing and give us hope and a future – and a new path to follow!

Matthew 10:32-33 NKJV
[32] “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. [33] But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”

Let’s all let our lights shine and illuminate the paths for others as God lights up our pathways and leads us through this life.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad

Isaiah 55:6-9 NKJV
[6] Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. [7] Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. [8] “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. [9] “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
[5] Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

John 3:15-21 NKJV
[15] that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [18] “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. [21] But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
