Acts 5:38-39 NLT
“So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. [39] But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”

In the days when the apostles had witnessed the resurrection of Jesus and were on fire to preach the message of Jesus boldly, there was a Pharisee named Gamaliel that was a respected teacher of the law. He had witnessed several uprisings of spiritual leaders that came and went. So he gave good advice to his counterparts that if this is from God, you will not be able to stop it and would be fighting against God.

We learn by studying this passage that the Pharisees did not quite believe that Jesus was who He said He was. But they were not sure, so they agreed to follow the advice of Gamaliel.

Here we are over 2,000 years later, with the message of the Gospel continuing to be passed down from generation to generation, ever vibrant as it was in the days of the Acts of the Apostles. The message of Christ has spread throughout the world, and the will of God, which is to save humanity from their own eternal demise, is still saving souls every day.

God’s will has stood the test of time and prevails in the past, present, and future. The scriptures will all one day be fulfilled with every jot and tittle, and God’s children will live forevermore in His eternal Kingdom.

Matthew 5:18 NKJV
For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

1 John 2:17 NKJV
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

God created us to be forever beings — not our bodies, but our souls. While we walk this planet, it is up to us to decide where we will spend eternity. It is this time that we need to learn not to fight against the will of God, but to accept His eternal grace and salvation, giving our lives to Him and learning to understand His will for our lives. His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. He will one day sound the trumpets to come and rapture His church. We need to be ready. God’s will is that everyone should come to repentance. His love is long-suffering toward us, but the signs of the times grow stronger every day.

Matthew 6:10 NKJV
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 AMP
Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord!

Matthew 24:6-8 NKJV
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

2 Peter 3:9 NKJV
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Do not fight against God. Accept the wonderful message of salvation that has been proven over and over to be right and true. The scriptures that were prophesied thousands of years before Jesus was born about His birth, death, and resurrection have been fulfilled. The return of Christ and the Revelation prophecies remain and will be fulfilled as well. We do not know when, but we do know the signs of the times, as Jesus so plainly told us.

Be wise today and become everything that our Lord wants of you, to become a child of God. It is easy and requires nothing of you except a willing heart committed to Him and choosing to follow His will. Take a moment now and ask Jesus to become the Lord of your life with a simple prayer in your own words, something like this:

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose now to turn from my sins, my self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Savior and Lord. Come reign in my heart, fill me with your love and your life, and help me to become a person who is truly loving—a person like you. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me. Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. [1]

Ephesians 5:17 NKJV
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Psalm 119:27 NLT
Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.

Psalm 143:10 NKJV
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad
