Ephesians 2:12-13 NLT
[12] In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. [13] But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
Good morning!
People are living in this world without God and without hope. They have no Messiah and no reason for living, except for self-gratification and trying to build their own “earthly kingdom” that will one day end. When someone does not have an eternal purpose, they only have what this world has to offer, which is full of emptiness, no fulfillment and no purpose. They try to fill themselves with worldly possessions and to no avail, never find true peace. They need the Messiah!
True peace can ONLY come from the Prince of Peace, the One who gives us a life of hope and fills the void that we are all born with. His name is Jesus, the Messiah, and Lord of all.
Isaiah 9:6 NKJV
[6] For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Jesus came into this world for one reason, to give us direct access to the throne of God by rendering salvation to all who accept Him as Lord and Savior. Before He came, there was a wall of separation between men and God. Jesus broke that middle wall of separation and restored humanity’s ability to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Ephesians 2:14-18 NKJV
[14] For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, [15] having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, [16] and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. [17] And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. [18] For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Notice in Ephesians 2:14 that it does not say that He gave us peace, but He IS our peace. The only true peace that we can obtain is by His grace and mercy. This type of peace is not temporary, but eternal. It is one that will fill our souls and change our hearts of stone into a heart of flesh so that we can fulfill the commandments of God and walk in newness of life.
Ezekiel 36:26 NKJV
[26] I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Romans 6:4 NKJV
[4] Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
You’ve seen the bumper stickers that say “Wise Men Still Seek Him.” This is truth. There is no other way, nor salvation in any other name, except the name of Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. He is the mediator that laid down His life for all of humanity, purchasing our freedom so that we can live eternally with Him in heaven. Those who are wise will seek Him as their Messiah to lead us and guide us now and into eternity.
This life is full of twists and turns, ups and downs, good times and bad times, but no matter what, we have eternal peace knowing Christ. Nothing in this world can shake us when we have true peace living a life in reverence of our Messiah and the eternal kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Acts 4:12 NKJV
[12] Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
John 14:6 NKJV
[6] Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 NLT
[5] For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus. [6] He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
Hebrews 12:28-29 NKJV
[28] Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. [29] For our God is a consuming fire.
This life is short and our Messiah is coming soon to bring back His followers into His heavenly kingdom. We never have tomorrow as security so we cannot take for granted that our eternity is secure until we surrender our lives to Christ. For those that are in Christ already, we need to have compassion for others and lead the lost unto our Messiah, giving them, too, the hope and peace that we have in Him. It is not our job to save them. Only God can do that. But it is our job to “go tell it on the mountain.”
Revelation 22:12-13 NKJV
[12] “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. [13] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
I love you and am praying for you today!
