Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
[28] Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
[29] He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
[30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
[31] But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Good Morning!
The above passage is one of my favorite scriptures. It speaks volumes about the character of God and even though we are powerless against the circumstances of life, God strengthens us with “wings like eagles” to soar above the storm.
Whenever an eagle flies into turbulent winds, they have the ability to stretch out their wings and lock them into place to “mount up” above the storm, where they fly to safety and soar above it.
In the same way, when we are facing seasons of life that are challenging, if we wait upon the Lord and “lock our wings” in place, God increase our strength in times of our weakest moments. He will give us the power to rise above the storm and not lose hope, get weary or feel faint.
God, the creator of the ends of the earth never faints or gets weary and His understanding is unsearchable. When we don’t understand why things are happening in our life, God knows. There is nothing that takes Him by surprise. The challenges of life are many but God is for us and God is with us and gives us the strength to carry on.
Romans 8:31 NKJV
[31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Isaiah 7:14 NKJV
[14] Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Matthew 1:23 NKJV
[23] “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
If God is for us than who can stand against us? That is a question that gets answered sometimes in this life, but also sometimes in the the hereafter. This life is short. Compared to eternity, the Bible says it is a vapor that appears for a little while and vanishes. So what does that mean of God’s promises? Sometimes answers to prayer are given in our eternity. For example, when someone is praying for a healing, they may not receive the answer while here on earth but the ultimate healing will be when they close their eyes on this earth and open them in the presence of the Almighty.
James 4:14 NKJV
[14] whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
We don’t have the unsearchable understanding that God has and we just have to trust that His will is perfect and good. He has promised us that we have a place prepared for us in His kingdom. We only need to stand in assurance of the everlasting that we will ultimately be in a place where there are no more tears, no more death, no more sorrow and no more crying — truly soaring above any earthly cares.
John 14:2 NKJV
[2] In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Revelation 21:4 NKJV
[4] And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
I love you and am praying for you today!
