“”Ephesians 6:17 NKJV
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Good Morning!
Salvation, what is it? If you look up in the dictionary, it says that Salvation is a source or means of being saved from harm, ruin or loss. Well, that is the whole reason that Jesus came to this earth, so that all men could be saved, not just in this life but for eternity. As Christ followers, we have the confidence that we are delivered from eternal ruin and have the salvation that God has promised us through believing in Christ Jesus.
The Helmet of Salvation then is our assurance that we are God’s children and no one can snatch us away. There is no power on the earth or the heavens that can separate us from the love of God. We have eternal confidence, no matter how many fiery darts the devil tries to throw at us trying to shake our faith, that we are God’s beloved children and will someday be in His eternal presence.
The Helmet of Salvation is also a protection over our mind. God uses intellect in many instances in the Bible to reason with us, for example…
Isaiah 1:18 NKJV
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
God chose to redeem us. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. We are simply the recipients of His free gift of grace and salvation. Our simple faith of accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior and living for Him, is all we have to do. God does the rest by forgiving our sins. He tells us that He “remembers our sin no more and removes our sin as far as the east is from the west.” There is no other like our God that can forgive sins and deliver us unto salvation.
It is pretty mind-blowing when we think and ponder about the love of God. As mere humans, we can never really understand all that God has for us. So we must live in faith that each day God orders our footsteps and guides us in His pathway for our lives.
Hebrews 11:1 ERV
Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.
I love the lyrics of this song about God’s love for us. It truly represents the awesomeness of His love and that we cannot even comprehend how much He loves us:
Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky
I encourage you to listen the song here. It is one of my favorite songs.
Salvation, it is placed on our head as a helmet and as a crown for our eternity. The Lord Jesus is our Salvation and He is our hope for eternal life. He gives us the assurance that nothing can snatch us away and nothing can separate us from His love.
Be blessed today knowing that we have eternal confidence in our Salvation.
I love you and am praying for you today!

Psalm 103:11-14 ERV
[11] His love for his followers is as high above us as heaven is above the earth. [12] And he has taken our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west. [13] The LORD is as kind to his followers as a father is to his children. [14] He knows all about us. He knows we are made from dust.
John 6:37 TLB
[37] But some will come to me-those the Father has given me-and I will never, never reject them.
John 10:28 TLB
[28] I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one shall snatch them away from me,
Romans 5:10-11 TLB
[10] And since, when we were his enemies, we were brought back to God by the death of his Son, what blessings he must have for us now that we are his friends and he is living within us! [11] Now we rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God-all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done in dying for our sins-making us friends of God.
Romans 8:31,38-39 NKJV
[31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? [38] For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, [39] nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
