Zechariah 4:6b NKJV
… ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.
Good Morning!
The battles of life that we face are not our own. Yes, we need to be prepared for battle using the full armor of God, but when we do, remember that it is not by our strength, power or might that God moves, but by HIS Spirit.
This verse has been one of those that has been engraved into my heart because whenever I face any challenge that just seems overwhelming, I simply recite this verse in my mind and remember that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and this battle is not mine, but God’s and by His Spirit He will accomplish His good will for my life.
Philippians 4:13 NKJV
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God is strong on our behalf. He doesn’t just show up on the scene when we call out to Him, but He is already on the scene constantly orchestrating our lives as we draw closer to Him and yield to His will.
2 Chronicles 16:9a NKJV
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him…
As we go through life, it is inevitable that we will face a battle or challenge of some sort. It could be a conflict at work, a financial burden, a health problem and many, many others. To know that the battle is not our own gives insurmountable peace in our hearts. It gives us the ability to face challenges and struggles head-on with the courage and zeal like that of a soldier running into battle against His enemy in full armor. God will not abandon us. He is with us wherever we go and always on our side. The word, Emmanuel, literally means God With Us. This is our peace, our rest and our comfort in all of our struggles.
Isaiah 7:14 NKJV
[14] Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Matthew 1:23 NKJV
[23] “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
As you face any challenges and battles in your life, know that we have a God that is for us, not against us. He is with us and His Spirit completes His will in our lives and He is fighting the battles on our behalf.
I love you and am praying for you today.
