Psalm 37:3-7 NKJV
[3] Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. [4] Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. [5] Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. [6] He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. [7] Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Isaiah 2:22 NLT
[22] Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?
Good Morning!
Trust is something we live by every day. We trust that when we drive through a green light that the cross street has a red light. We trust that when we order from a drive-thru, that they will get our order right (ya, that never happens). We trust that when we put in a hard day’s work that our employer will pay us. These are all basic forms of trust that we put in other people.
But what about trust in God? We sometimes forget that the very breath in our lungs is a gift from Him each day. We wake up every morning with a new opportunity to serve Him. Forget about yesterday and take on a new day as a clean slate. As we put our trust in Him, feeding on His faithfulness, we are given the desires of our heart, but these desires only happen when we align our hearts with His heart. The Holy Spirit will then begin to work through us and we will see God’s plans being carried out through our own lives and “He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday.”
He will give us desires to serve Him more and more as we yield to His will for our lives. This is not just words on a page, this is a promise! As just one example, God tells us to “put Him to the test” and see what He will do when we offer our tithes to Him. He tells us that He will pour out His blessing so great that we will not have room enough to take it all in. When we give with a cheerful heart and trust in Him, His blessings will pour out onto us — TRUST!
Malachi 3:10 NLT
[10] Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
God’s righteousness and His Word never fails and His promises never return void. So as we commit our ways to Him and trust in Him more and more, our lives, relationships, focus, direction, state of mind, and blessing from Him will ALL improve. As we trust in Him and feed on His faithfulness, test Him and see what He will do in our lives. Today is a new day, delight yourself in Him and see what comes to pass!
Psalm 111:3 NLT
[3] Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV
[11] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
I love you and am praying for you today!
