Romans 10:9-10,13 NKJV
[9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [13] For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Good Morning!
Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:30 that “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” The simplicity of salvation is easy. We must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus was died for us and was raised from the dead. Then we will be saved. Simple right?
But so many people add man’s religion into the mix and make it complicated. Jesus made it so that everyone from poorest of the poor to the wealthiest, from the four corners of the earth, no matter what race you come from, could be saved. Yet man has added rituals, idols, priests, rabbis, popes, false doctrine, and even antichrists to the mix and made it difficult.
If we are to believe the Bible, then we are to look past all of man’s “stuff” and believe the pure and simple gospel of truth. That when we truly ask Jesus into our hearts, that it is done. From that moment forward, God has written your name in the Lamb’s book of life and you have created an everlasting relationship with Him.
Think about the criminal on the cross that asked Jesus to remember him. He was being crucified right next to our Lord and Jesus told him, “assuredly, today you will be with me in Paradise.” There was no time to go to a confessional, no time to get baptized or do anything at all. He simple believed in his heart and he was saved. Simple!
Luke 23:42-43 NKJV
[42] Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” [43] And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
When we take on the “yoke” that Jesus gives us, we can truly live a life that is free from burdens. We will have the trials of life, but we know that in the end Jesus wins and so do we as His followers.
John 16:33 NKJV
[33] These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
1 John 5:4-5 NKJV
[4] For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. [5] Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
I love you and am praying for you today!
