[17] The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Good Morning!
Just think, the God who created all things, this world, the universe, animals, fish, birds and people, rejoices over us with singing. Many people think that God is so distant and far and unapproachable, but the truth is, he is with us every day. He watches over us, he knows our deepest fears, troubles, stress, what we love and what we despise, he knows how many hairs are on our head. Our Lord is a PERSONAL God and Savior. He takes delight in us, his most masterful creation. He made us for His glory.
Before I was a father, I didn’t understand the bond of love a father has for his child. When my children were born, it totally changed my way of thinking about how much God loves us and no matter what we do, He will always love us — unconditionally. Being a father really helped me understand how our Heavenly Father loves us so much. There is nothing my children could do to make me love them less, even so God loves us infinitely more.
Today, think about the great love He has for us and how much he has done in your life thus far and how much more He will help you, deliver you, sing over you, guide you and love you in the future. That is something to rejoice over and not be bogged down with things that this world will try to burden you with.
