Psalm 139:23-24 NLT
[23] Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. [24] Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Good Morning!
We all have those thoughts that race through our mind that, if were spoken out loud to someone, would be very offensive, ugly and downright hateful. We are human after all. It is good that we are able to “hold our tongue” and not let those words be spoken, yet God, knows all of our thoughts and dark secrets.

So what to do? We cannot control our thoughts, right?

Well Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 10 that we can bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. By daily submerging ourselves in God’s Word and letting His desires become our desires, our minds will take on the meekness and gentleness of Christ. This is a transformation that doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen. And yes, we are human and God knows our frame and forgives us when we slip up.

2 Corinthians 10:1-6 NKJV
[1] Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ-who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you. [2] But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. [3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. [4] For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, [5] casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, [6] and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Psalm 103:14 NKJV
[14] For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

God wants us to have sound minds. We do that through daily recommitting our lives to Him, reading His word and praying. It is a lifestyle that blesses us and those around us – putting into practice all of God’s promises.

Luke 11:28 NLT
[28] Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
[7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad
